Had an interesting time presenting, especially when I started off with this question: We many see the first Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) AGENTS, AI capable of understanding, learning, and performing any intellectual task that a human can do, joining the workforce by the end of 2025? Bloomberg's Leaders Circle was held in Dublin last week with key leaders from across the financial services sector invited to an exclusive breakfast event in the Shelbourne Hotel. I was asked to present my views and lead a discussion on the latest innovation in the Generative AI space, Agentic AI, and its impact on banking in 2025 and beyond. An interactive session, with plenty of insights from across the Irish Financial Services Industry, the key take away was that the impact of Generative AI will continue to be felt across an increasing number of business offerings and technology enhancements in this space. ASIFMA (Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association) in collaboration with Afore Consulting organised this year’s EU-Asia Financial Services Dialogue. The event aims to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange between regulators and industry leaders from Europe and Asia, making it accessible to a diverse audience of professionals. I got the opportunity to discuss how technology, especially Generative AI, is evolving. What trends are we seeing in the market? What are the use cases and how do they differ in Asia and Europe? There are many similarities between the regions highlighted by the enthusiasm to explore and adopt this technology. There are also some important differences as regulatory approaches align and diverge.
