Something I’ve been thinking about and noticing… Generative AI might actually help us become more present and better listeners. Tools like ChatGPT are patient. They don’t interrupt. They don’t look down at a phone and lose focus. They can be overly supportive (if trained this way). They acknowledge each word, respond thoughtfully, and stick with the conversation for as long as it takes. That kind of “presence” is rare in real life. I’ve heard many joke that ChatGPT is their new therapist. That’s quite a statement! When these tools are used with a little self-awareness, maybe the tools can help us reflect on how we show up in conversations. Are we really listening? Are we being thoughtful? Are we making people feel heard and responding comprehensively? AI can’t replace human connection. But it can remind us all what being fully present and engaged looks like in fast world filled with distractions. #Leadership #EmotionalIntelligence #FutureOfWork #AIandHumanity
