Four months ago, I joined Discord's public policy team and it has already been one of the most fun, creative, and rewarding experiences of my career. Discord is a really special place with kind, smart, and passionate people... plus we get to play games! Excited to share that I'm starting a new adventure as the Head of US and Canada Public Policy at Discord. I have always been passionate about the ability of the Internet to support creativity, community, and learning and am thrilled to have the opportunity to join a company that is focused on creating more spaces for people to find belonging. Looking back on my nearly 14 years at Google, I am so proud of everything we accomplished. From helping Google win two Supreme Court cases, to launching Google’s first ever economic opportunity agenda, to shaping the earliest stages of AI and copyright policy - it has been a journey I could never have imagined and one I will never forget. But most importantly, I am incredibly grateful to the many friends, advisors, and mentors who have supported, guided, and believed in me along the way. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey so far. Looking forward to what's next.
