Great to see the short video about the Fleet Street Quarter ESG Summit held at #UrbanFarmerProject. A buzzing room full of businesses seeking how best to meet the challenges today of being environmentally, socially and governance alert to attract talent and inspire people. What a complete delight to visit a building I know so well and be transformed by a full immersion in light and sound and a truly mind bending experience. This is #Luxmuralis at St Paul's Cathedral, London. A display that is only showing until 10pm Friday night, 28th February. Telling the story from the creation and honing into the history of St Paul's Cathedral through building, fire and reconstruction up to World War II and today. The richness of the colour and texture are taken from the mosaics in the ceiling and the artefacts in the historic collection. Thanks to Peter Walker the sculptor and David Harper the composer. Dean Andrew Tremlett plays a part in reading from the Cathedral's Tyndale Bible and the choristers sing out gloriously. Tickets can be purchased here. https://lnkd.in/eyPF5gUm

One month today on 22 March at 8.30pm I will be joining #EarthHour to mark the importance of support for the planet and raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting us. Marked by one hour in turning off unnecessary lights it can also mean committing 60 minutes to do something positive for the planet. Started by WWF it is now a huge international movement and surely worth one hour of your time as well. Get ready now! Can you get some better photos than me of iconic #TowerBridge. Worried about the air you breathe? City of London Corporation has pioneered #cleanair, being the first authority to pass legislation in 1954 to ban the production of smoke in the City. A new #AirQualityStrategy ensures that the Square Mile has air that is healthy to breath. Aiming to reduce nitrogen dioxide PM10 and PM2.5 in the air by 2030; aligning with national and regional action but going further in order to meet #WorldHealthOrganisation guidelines.  I am concerned in part because of the impact from traffic in Upper Thames Street that runs through my Ward of Dowgate. See the orange and red colours of high density on the chart below. Many of the occupiers have complained over the years about this. Others, like Nomura, have taken steps to improve air quality with award winning projects.  The new Strategy builds on good results to date to be even better. The City is leading by example by improving their fleet vehicles; using procurement to require suppliers to also minimise pollution; promoting walking wheeling and cycling in the Transport Strategy and reducing emissions in the #ClimateActionStrategy. Amazing sights in Guildhall this week as the #LondonCareersFestival is in full swing 3-14 February. This event aims to inspire young people to explore different careers, exploring apprenticeships and training across a wide range of businesses. Livery Companies are key exhibitors with The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers ( with Keith Langton Locker & Riley), The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers and Worshipful Company of Management Consultants showcasing keys skills and aptitudes. Military and #Dowgate Firefighters present as well. Thousands of primary and secondary students attended at Guildhall and offsite Mace in #SalisburySquare, Fashion Retail Academy, City of London Corporation https://lnkd.in/eQbFk5nz
