Congratulations to our team at Wellington Group of Companies on wrapping up our 2024-2025 fiscal year yesterday in strong order. It’s been a year filled with economic uncertainty, Federal elections in both Canada and The United States, and many peaks and valleys in which we went through together. We welcomed Contract Express Limited to the Wellington family in late June 2024, we started and grew our Wellington Healthcare division by 8 figures this fiscal under the leadership of Bill Robinson Chris West Brett Rolland Matt Sindhi Storm Cooksley, we obtained our ISO9001 and BRCGS Global status this fiscal through the dedication of many people but will highlight Ellen Schaetzle Matthew Russ Jessica Mata Baylee Aitchison Rachael McMunn Julie Lunshof Garrett Hargreaves, we re-signed one of our largest customers to a 5 year extension because of the unbelievable service and dedication of Timothy Tree and his team, we expanded our Wellington International division under the leadership of Gregory Watson this fiscal, we hit our all time best CVOR safety ranking at 2.79% which is unheard of under the leadership of Scott Lunshof, we managed through 54% warehouse utilization due to significant warehousing inventory corrections in the market to now a 97% fill rate this fiscal under the leadership of Mark Lunshof, we went through turbulence south of the border with Trucking Proz experiencing dropping rates and reduced utilization but are now outperforming market and stronger than ever under the leadership of Jason Nesbitt, and while we went through all the peaks and valleys our responsible financial team lead by Celso Mata, MBA, CPA Dora Gwotok, MSc, CPA, CMA Vivian Koza Tracey-Ann Royal weathered the storm and kept us on track in good order. Our group has done an amazing job at staying positive, diversifying and leveling up throughout the year and we start today with a fresh slate to build off all of our wins and lessons learned this upcoming fiscal year. There is still many unknowns with the turbulence which is going through the global markets, however I remain positive we will continue to build off the momentum we built up in the past quarter and are heading in the right direction. Social media can be deceiving with people and companies only celebrating / announcing their wins. To outsiders they can almost question what am I doing wrong? Entrepreneurship is hard and I could not have lead this team and gone through this journey without the support and leadership of Stephanie Koza who’s both my wife, but a critical sound board and professional in my corner.
