Over the past year I've been delving into understanding Quantum Computing in an effort to assess the magnitude of its potential to transform the industrial sector. If we look at history, the story of the laser might have the most relevance: a technology looking for solution that became the foundation of innovation in manufacturing, communication, chemistry, and many other disciplines. While there are numerous existing solutions, systems, and processes that will undoubtedly be transformed with just the immense computational power of Quantum, it's much more interesting to ponder what might emerge because of the technology itself.
