Celebrating World Environment Day: Our Land, Our Future On this World Environment Day, let’s unite to make a positive impact on our planet. This year’s slogan - Our Land, Our future, aligns perfectly with our commitment to protect and revive ecosystems worldwide, critical for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Our group Aliaxis has set ambitious targets for 2025 to make our business more sustainable, and Ashirvad by aliaxis is fully aligned with these goals. Challenges remain, but progress is our priority. I'm thrilled to announce our achievements and a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness and encouraging active participation across all our locations. 🌿 Our Sustainability Achievements: Reducing Carbon Intensity: o  Our product’s carbon intensity has decreased by approximately 30% compared to 2022 (from 0.18 to 0.13 kg CO2e/T). This has been achieved through transitioning to renewable energy sources, adopting low-carbon fuels, eliminating fossil fuels, and improving energy efficiency. o  We are committed to a 75% reduction in carbon intensity by 2025. Renewable Electricity: 💚 o  Currently, 70% of Ashirvad’s operations are powered by renewables (up from 37% in 2022). o  By 2025, our goal is to transition to100% renewable electricity. Water Use Efficiency: 💧 o  We have improved water use efficiency by 25% over 2022 (from 1 to 0.74 m^3/T). Powering Circularity: o  Working to increase recycled content in our products. Zero Waste to Landfill: o  Proudly achieved zero waste to landfill in 2023. o  Sustaining this achievement through ongoing efforts. Whether it is deified as male or female, or is used to purify and cleanse, water has been universally revered since the dawn of civilization. Yet, scarcity of this life-enabler has often been the source of conflict. At Aliaxis India, we are deeply committed to addressing water scarcity. We are aiming to halve the water use intensity at our manufacturing plants ahead of the committed year of 2025, while also working with communities in the neighborhood to restore water.
