Today, billions still lack access to essential surgical services—an urgent global health challenge. It’s inspiring to see how far Ethiopia has come. Innovative initiatives like SALTS (Saving Lives Through Safe Surgery) have made a remarkable impact—improving access, building capacity, and setting examples other countries can learn from. Together, we can close the surgical care gap and save more lives.

This annual meeting brings together health leaders, policymakers, and organizations from around the world, united by a single mission: to improve the health and well-being of all people, everywhere. But this year feels different — and more urgent. 🔴 Global health is at a crossroads. We’re seeing major funding cuts, growing geopolitical tensions, and discussions as critical as the potential withdrawal of key nations like the USA from WHO/WHA. These are not just political shifts — they carry real consequences for millions of lives around the world. In the midst of these challenges, one thing is clear: 👉 We need stronger collaboration, smarter investments, and unwavering commitment to health equity, now more than ever. Proud to be part of this global conversation. Let’s continue to advocate, act, and push boundaries — for the sake of every child, every mother, every community.
