It’s moments like these that remind me how fortunate I am to work alongside such a committed, talented, and mission-driven team at Celerion. We had a fast-moving client need with a tight timeline and some real challenges—and I’m proud to say we delivered. Not just on time, but with the kind of collaboration, precision, and heart that makes this work meaningful. So many colleagues dropped what they were doing, stayed late, jumped in without hesitation, and made things happen. Huge thanks to: Jessica Kopejtka, Soumya Mohana Sundaram, Teresa Urlacher, Ashley Guell, MSW CAPSW (and her team), Johannes Stanta, Jo Goodman, Chad Briscoe, Chris Kafonek, Leslie Poli You all showed what it means to rally behind a common goal, and I’m sincerely grateful!! Proud to be in the trenches with all of you. #Teamwork #Gratitude #ClientSuccess #Leadership #LifeAtCelerion

New Podcast Episode is out: "Navigating Challenges in Drug Discovery with Dr. Alfred Botchway" In this month’s BioTalk Unzipped episode, Dr. Chad Briscoe and I had the honor of sitting down with Dr. Alfred Botchway, CEO of Attentive Science, to explore some fascinating topics that are shaping the future of biomedical research. Dr. Botchway's journey from aspiring medical doctor to CEO of a global biomedical company is inspiring, but it’s his deep insights into the role of AI in non-clinical safety assessments, and the impact of stress on human health, that really stood out. Here are a few key takeaways from our conversation: ✔ The power of AI in refining toxicology studies and improving drug discovery. ✔ How stress affects our organ systems and its implications for health research. ✔ The importance of collaboration between academia and industry to fuel innovation. ✔ Advancements in sample collection that are transforming clinical trials. Whether you're in the biopharma industry or just passionate about how technology and science are intersecting, this episode offers a glimpse into the future of biomedical research and treatment. Leadership isn’t just about strategy, speed, or scaling. It’s about people. In this short clip from my conversation with Dr. Alfred Botchway, he shares something that hit me hard—and I think it’ll resonate with a lot of leaders in biotech, pharma, and beyond: “They’re not just employees — they’re people. With families. With lives outside of work. And if you want your company to succeed, you have to care about the whole person.” It’s a simple truth—but one that’s easy to lose sight of in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. This kind of leadership—grounded in empathy, humility, and care—is what we need more of in life sciences. And honestly, in every industry. If this message resonates with you, I’d love for you to check out this short clip—and if you're curious, the full conversation with Dr. Botchway is coming up on BioTalk Unzipped with me and Chad Briscoe very soon! https://lnkd.in/gT_dA9is #leadership #biotech #companyculture #lifesciences #podcast #biotalkunzipped #empathyleadership #peoplefirst

What if the future of CAR-T therapy isn’t just faster... but smarter? At the Boston Society Gene & Cell Therapy Conference, Dr. Bruce Levine made a powerful observation: “There aren’t enough humans on Earth to meet the patient demand if we continue relying solely on ex vivo CAR-T manufacturing.” Let that sink in. As cell and gene therapy pushes into glioblastoma, autoimmune diseases, and fibrosis, the scalability challenge becomes urgent. The next frontier? In vivo CAR-Ts—off-the-shelf, lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-delivered mRNA encoding CAR constructs. Think: CAR-T meets mRNA vaccine. Penn’s team has already shown targeted LNPs can engineer T cells inside the body, without preconditioning chemo, and drive potent B cell depletion in primate models. Why this matters: ✅ Scalability: 1-day production vs. 10 ✅ Access: Reduced cost, fewer barriers ✅ Precision: Direct delivery to immune cells ✅ Speed: On-demand, in vivo programming Could this approach finally unlock CAR-T for solid tumors and autoimmune conditions—at global scale? Question for you: What’s the biggest obstacle for in vivo CAR-T becoming standard: regulatory mindset, delivery technology, or long-term safety data? #CellTherapy #CART #InVivoTherapies #LNPtechnology

Every year, WRIB challenges us to think deeper about the science—and the why behind it. It’s not just a conference; it’s a lens into the future of drug development. This year, I’m especially looking forward to hearing from regulators on immunogenicity—an area that continues to evolve with cell, gene, and vaccine therapies. The agenda is packed with substance: from ADA/NAb assays and PK & biodistribution strategies, to the candid “Ask the Regulators” panels that never fail to spark good conversations and better questions. I’ll be attending in my role at Celerion, where we support early-phase development with high-quality bioanalytical services—from ligands to mass spec, GLP to regulatory strategy. Whether you're working on a novel therapeutic or just want to talk shop, swing by next week at Booth #21 and say hello. Also, I’m hoping to connect with folks who are passionate about pushing boundaries—whether that’s through science or storytelling. If you’re at WRIB and want to chat about what’s next in bioanalysis, or even swap podcast stories from BioTalk Unzipped, let’s link up. What are you most excited to hear about at WRIB this year? #WRIB2025 #drugdevelopment #immunogenicity #bioanalytical
