𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶: 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶 - https://goo.gle/Entri-Film At Google, what inspires us to work with startups and founders are the unique problems they are solving and the impact they are making on people's lives. We've been working on sharing some of these amazing AI startup stories from our Accelerator programs in India. In our first story, meet Rahul Ramesh and Mohammed Hisam, co-founders of Entri, sharing their journey of building Entri from Kochi, Kerala, empowering 15 million users to learn in their native language and leveraging AI to fuel the next phase of their growth. Entri deeply integrated Google DeepMind Gemini via Google Cloud & AI Studio and launched new AI features on their Android app like “AI Teaching Assistant” that provides real-time video summarization and contextual Q&A, and “Interview Coach” that provides structured, socratic-style question prompts tailored to course content to help learners like Arya Prabhakaran land their dream job. Last week, we hosted the inaugural Google for Startups Accelerator India Alumni Summit in Bengaluru, coinciding with I/O Connect India, celebrating its 10th anniversary and bringing together founders across all cohorts. The day reunited top founders and startups, featuring: 🎤 Ebi Atawodi (Sr. Director, DeveloperX, Google) opened with a keynote on Accelerator's global impact and AI's role in transforming startup playbook. 💬 A panel on on "A Decade of Building a Startup" with alumni founders Amarendra Sahu (NestAway), Jo Aggarwal (Wysa), and Hemant Kumar Sah (Drivezy), moderated by Shrinath V(Mentor). 🧠 Google leaders Anand Rangarajan (Google DeepMind), Matt Thompson (Google Cloud), Sagar Kamdar (Android), and Vikas Anand (Firebase) discussed "How Tech is Shifting in the AI Era," moderated by Anuja Dhawan (Dubverse). 📝 Startup breakouts, facilitated by mentors Soham Mondal, Vivian Gomes, Shrinath V, and Muthukumar Rajamani, allowed founders to share challenges and explore ecosystem growth, providing insights for future support. We also had many engaging activities at the summit such as AI-powered Accelerator booth by Gan.AI with an interactive Karthik's avatar (built with Google Gemini) and personalized photo sharing by FilterPixel. It concluded with a networking dinner and an AI-powered DJ (with Google Lab's MuicFX DJ) for founders & Googlers. Over a decade, we've accelerated 237 startups through 17 cohorts in India. These startups have collectively raised $4.5B USD and created over 8.5K jobs since joining the program, boasting a 96% survival rate (yes, that's right). What an incredibly journey from Launchpad Accelerator to this 10-year milestone. For the past 4 years, we've focused on making our startup programs more relevant, evolving them to the ecosystem's needs. We launched vertical accelerators like the Women Founders Accelerator (for equitable representation and fundraising), AI First Accelerator (for the rapidly growing AI landscape), and the Apps Accelerator (to enable the AI-powered app ecosystem). In addition to the Accelerator, initiatives like AI Day for Startups, AI Academy, and Startup School with strong partnerships with leading Accelerators & Incubators across India, support ~10k startups annually. We're committed more than ever to empowering the fast-growing Indian startup ecosystem with the best of Google.
